| Nicolette Birnie's debut CD entitled STONEHORSE is the first and only eclectic music CD written and performed by a proficient horsewoman - someone who has been down in the trenches with horses, horse people, and ranch life for more than thirty years.
A lifetime in the making, STONEHORSE is an album about real life situations told from the perspective and experience of a real life horsewoman. Nicolette’s life and livelihood have always been associated with horses. From long nights foaling mares, to colt starting, gentling wild mustangs, and professional riding, horses have played a fundamental role in Nicolette’s existence as they do for so many people. This music however is not solely for horse lovers - anyone can appreciate and relate to the intimacy and emotions that ride high in these very personal songs.
Produced by Tim Lorsch and Walt Wilkins (Mustang Island, Hopewell) and recorded at Dogden Studio in Nashville TN, Nicolette’s songs and voice are complimented by a band comprised of some of Nashville’s most coveted musicians.
